Warranty Registration

Register Your Warranty

Your equipment ships with a manufacturer warranty from Goodman or Daikin. To activate the full coverage term, the system has to be registered after installation. It takes about five minutes, it's free, and it's the difference between years of parts coverage and half that.

Register it yourself, directly with the manufacturer, using the links below.

Why This Matters

Manufacturer warranties on residential HVAC equipment have two tiers: a base warranty that applies automatically, and an extended warranty that requires registration within a set window after installation. Miss the window and the coverage drops to the base term — permanently. There's no retroactive fix.

Most people find out about this in year six, when a part fails and the coverage they assumed they had ran out the year before. Five minutes now protects a system you'll own for a decade or more.

Registering a complete system? Each component with its own serial number — condenser, air handler or furnace, coil — generally needs to be registered. Register them all in the same session while you have the model and serial numbers in front of you.

What You'll Need

  • Model and serial numbers — on the data plate of each unit. Photograph the plates before the equipment is set in place; they're much harder to read once a condenser is on its pad against a wall.
  • Installation date — the date the system was installed, not the date it was delivered.
  • Installing contractor's information — company name and license number.
  • Property address where the equipment is installed.

The Deadline

Registration windows are counted from the installation date and are typically short — commonly 60 days. Exact terms vary by brand and product line, so confirm the window and the coverage terms on the manufacturer's registration page for your specific model.

Our advice is simpler: register the day the installer leaves. Put it on the calendar before the truck pulls off.

Professional Installation Is Part of the Warranty

Manufacturer warranties on this equipment require installation by a licensed professional working to applicable codes. That isn't fine print we're apologizing for — it's the reason the coverage exists.

This is professional-grade equipment. It's charged, brazed, evacuated, and commissioned by a licensed technician, and the manufacturer stands behind it on that basis. Equipment engineered to skip that step is engineered to a different standard. We don't sell it.

Buying direct saves you the markup on the box. It doesn't replace the installer — and it isn't supposed to.

Need Help?

If you can't locate a serial number, aren't sure which components need registering, or hit a problem with the manufacturer's portal, call us at (254) 964-0232. We'll walk you through it.

Warranty terms, coverage lengths, and registration requirements are set by the manufacturer and are subject to change. Nationwide HVAC Distribution does not administer, extend, or guarantee manufacturer warranty coverage. Always confirm current terms and deadlines on the manufacturer's official registration page linked above.
